Meet Our Staff
Michael Suman, Owner
Michael Suman founded SEG as the evolution of 25 years of professional performance and entertainment production. Michael was lured to Miami by the Miami Heat NBA basketball franchise to perform at the Heat home games, performing for the Heat’s first 3 seasons.
His involvement in the cruise industry encompasses working aboard 17 ships, serving as music director for Norwegian Cruise Line, and running the music department for Celebrity Cruise Line. Michael is as an ASCAP composer and arranger, a lifelong Mensa member, and an actively involved citizen of Miami Shores, FL.
Ben Dransfield, Musician Recruiter and Manager
Hailing from the beautiful state of Vermont, Ben Dransfield now finds himself in Miami pursuing his musical career. He attended Ithaca College in upstate New York to begin his collegiate studies in music education. Switching focus to jazz performance, he made the difficult decision to leave Ithaca and transfer to the University of Miami. There he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music (Jazz Trumpet) and is currently pursuing his Masters degree in Jazz Pedagogy. Ben works as a freelance trumpet player in addition to working with SEG. He joined SEG in May of 2007, after having met Michael Suman on a gig they were both playing trumpet.

Katherine Stimson, Entertainment Specialist and Production Services
Originally from Syracuse, NY, Katherine Stimson moved to Miami to attend graduate school. She received a BFA in Music from York University’s Faculty of Fine Arts in Toronto, Canada, a Master’s degree in Music Business & Entertainment Industry Studies from the University of Miami, and a certificate in Meeting & Event Management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
While attending the University of Miami graduate program, she completed internships with Columbia Records’ digital marketing department and the copyright & licensing division of EMI Music Publishing Latin America.
